In my recent tax filing for 2007 the 1.7% was tax deductible. Please note that Windemere has no HOA which is an added advantage as it typically ranges from $1200 to over $2400 per year for a comparable area. HOA fees are not tax deductible. - Tue May 20 2008, 21:48
SRVUSD needs information from pre-school parents in the Dougherty Valley community of east San Ramon.
The San Ramon Valley Unified School District is conducting a "Pre-School Round-up" for all children ages 0-4 residing in the Dougherty Valley. During the months of April and May, the Facilities staff will be collecting information from parents to assist in projecting the number of students entering Kindergarten at Coyote Creek, Hidden Hills, Live Oak and Quail Run Elementary Schools in the Fall of 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. - Fri Apr 18 2008, 08:36
We used to live in Danville across from Alamo Creek and recently moved to Windemere for the following reasons:
1) The schools are turning out to be the best in the area, check out scores for Windemere MS
2) Pre-school to Community College (if desired) is a walking distance
3) The entire community is new and very well maintained
4) The commute from Camino tassajara was a nightmare in rush hour
4) All parks, community center and library are a walking distance which makes it very convenient for sports and after school activities
5) The taxes are higher but with no HOA, less commuting and the tax deduction it came out to be wash
So far we feel very blessed to have made such a move.
All the best with your decision. - Sun Mar 2 2008, 21:36
