Why deal with the headaches of buying when you can rent. Have you looked into the cost of insurance if you can even get it. I have just been dropped 3 times in one year with no explanation. There is a 3 year glut of inventory in Miami area, don't let the predators tell you otherwise. Why deal with condo boards that change policy every time the board members leave office. - Thu May 22 2008, 15:37
Safety Harbor is nice, Clearwater has beautiful homes next to trailer parks. Gated communities seem to be more attractive, Huntington Trace is very nice. - Mon May 19 2008, 21:55
Tell them to rent don't buy anything here, prices are falling like Bush's ratings. If their retired Island Estates is a nice place but if a hurricane blows through it will be underwater, and try to get insurance, ha.. this state is a joke. I wouldn't commit to anything just rent and walk away when you want. I'm sure being in real estate you want a commission but do the right thing. - Fri May 16 2008, 12:54
RENT, don't buy. I just lost $60k I put down on a home in Safety harbor, an affluent area, great schools and all that. We are moving to PA 18 months later and wish we rented. This market is in the toilet with no sign's of recovery, be patient. Now I have to start all over, I never want to even go here on vacation. - Fri May 16 2008, 12:47
