Are Chapel Hill, NC home prices dropping?

Prices are definitely falling! I have been tracking this through every conceivable web-site and if you look at any parameter, you will see that prices and sales for 27514 are down year and quarter over quarter. We just started looking in the 201 real estate area, and I have personally seen asking prices being lowered every week. Our real estate agent, just like the others here trying to counter the idea of falling prices, says that they are not really falling. We are bidding low and we are going to hold out. I don't think that the Chapel Hill market has any advantage for the sellers at this point. Maybe in 1-2 years. - Mon Jul 21 2008, 19:47
