I'm pre-approved with Countrywide and according to the lending officer, as long as you put (10% down on the loan amount, contribution by seller can be at $14,700) LESS than 10% (contribution by sell can be at $7,350) - Sat Nov 3 2007, 17:21
Thanks Rachel and Lynn. You're answer seems more logical. Will this work? The home cost $249,999 and I ask them to drop $5000 from the list price, 3% closing and $6000 buyer bonus. Will this work? Or would paying full listing price, plus 3% closing and $6000 dollar buyer bonus. Buying down the interest rate is more important to me payment wise VS appliances in which I can buy later. Keep in mind the home has sat on the market since, December 2006. - Sat Nov 3 2007, 15:27
So how do I get them to buy me points if 2-3% is the norm? I want to lower my interest and monthly payment. - Sat Nov 3 2007, 14:47
