Mill River & Adams-are bought most by investors. if you look at the reselling flow since buildings were constructed-you will be surpised-how many times the same units were resold for profit. It's very convenient location, but, on the Adams side-there is a middle school neaby... The school itself isn't great... The middle schools in area aren't good. Most of the families send kids to the private-it's an option if you have money... High schools-2 of them-very deverse but if you kid take AP classes-he/she will be OK -many kids after go in Ivys. If you really want a nice school district-you should move in Ridgfield (more affordable area and nice schools). Very nice place to raise the kids. And commuting to NYC isn't bad. - Fri May 30 2008, 19:10

What are the new developments in Stamford?

Lesley answered:
For your price range you can get an old condo (sometimes with updates, sometimes-without). Prices are still high up here. New developements are going too high-1 bed-about $379K-the cheapest. And common charges are high. The guy Chris Farris-put a list all junk for you-if you don't familiar with city-you wouldn't know where is a decent neighborhood and where isn't. The brokers are hunting now for clients and they are not very decent. You asked about a new developement-and he offered 93 listings in your price range-sounds like deaf to the ear. You don't need even look through these 93 listings-nothing for you, believe me. Eastside in Stamford-isn't something similar to eastside in Manhattan. The district isn't safe and convinient. The best you can look-Strawberry Hill or 50-65 Glenbrook Rd. But there are old condos with high prices and high common charges. You may look at 85 Camp Ave. But also it''s over $400 - Fri May 30 2008, 18:54
