The houses around alexandria are each so unique that something like Zillow doesn't work the same way it would in a neighborhood with spec homes. On the other hand, agents are also unreliable since they seem to represent the seller even if you have a buyer's agency contract. Best bet is look at a bunch of homes to understand current valuation, and use zillow and tax records for historic info. - Sat May 24 2008, 21:05
