This is a 4 feet wide concrete ditch that they just put in so it was definitely not there before and is now a major eyesore and safety concern. I do not want to wait for them to fix this and I just want to move on but I do not know how long of a protracted this battle will be. What they did was very shady.....putting in the ditch at the last minute. - Mon Jun 16 2008, 11:45
It is just the standard 17 day loan contingency in CA real estate contracts. My agent represents both the builder and myself and she informed me that if I do not sign the removal then they cannot get your money.
I am getting nervous since I have 3 days left before it expires and I have not finalized a loan yet. She tried to reassure me that my money is safe as long as I have not signed. However, I did a little research and found that if the builder does not sign then I also cannot get the money. This does not help me if my money is in limbo. Please let me know. Thanks. - Mon Mar 31 2008, 12:35
Thanks for the info, I asked because I am looking for newer homes in Los Angeles that is affordable. I noticed that Mission Hills is primarily an older community but with some ranch lots being converted into PUDs. But since there really isnt any major commercial centers, the area hasnt really come to life. So in a sense I feel that Mission Hills is a mixed bag. It has the newer homes that I am looking for but the neighbors might still be in the 50's. How is Mission Hills in terms of prestige and future resell value. How would you stack Mission Hills against Granada Hills. How much is the price difference per sq. foot? - Wed Dec 19 2007, 23:31
