yes you will hear them. i live in central alameda and even though they do become backdrop after a while, sometimes it'll still be too loud to ignore the noise. also depending on where you live, you'll sometimes hear the trains too

Thank you for all the responses. It's really helpful. The house is a short sale and they've already accepted an offer. The listing agent also said they've received numerous offers and many of them are above the asking price.
