Oh, dude! If the lap pool is priority, then I don't think you can beat the Koret Center at USF. April-August, they open it up to 50m length on certain days. Other times, it is 25m but there are dozens of lanes. The rest of the facilities are adequate. You pay per use (if you live in neighborhood, it comes out to $4/day or something), which is a great deal if you only workout indoors a couple days a week. Which neighborhoods offer best access to jogging/running in SF?

Golden Gate Park is the best place to start a run. You can find everything from mild hills (through the park), to track runs (Kezar Stadium) and continue to the coast and along the Coastal Trail, which is beautiful. Besides Richmond and Sunset, you could start in Cole Valley or the Haight (and they get slightly more sun than Richmond/Sunset. - Mon May 14 2007, 01:12
