My wife and I just bought a home in City Heights. We looked at crime maps for the safer areas (see the link) of City Heights. I talked to the local polic responsible for that area. We found some wonderful pockets of safe areas (not even vandalism). We talked to the neighbors and found out that we picked the right area.
Of course, time may change things, but City Heights has changed significantlly over the last 10 years. Good luck. - Fri May 9 2008, 07:00
I'm just a lowly homebuyer, but here is what I used to map out every possible crime. We use it in Criminology. I used this link to help me decide the safest area I could afford for my family. You will be suprised by your preceptions and realty.
I gave you the link to the map. It may kick you to the disclaimer first. All the disclaimer says, is don't use this if you are having an emergency. You don't have to sign up for anything. - Fri May 9 2008, 06:54
