Personally, after living here a little over a year, I have to say that Tolleson really does have a wealth of community appeal going for it. I live in a complex that borders Veteran's Park and even though my husband and I don't have children, I notice many kids around where I live engaged in what I guess you'd call healthy, 'normal' activities-- walking pets, playing ball, skateboarding. I have never felt unsafe in the least, actually quite the opposite. I'm not saying Tolleson is crime-free, but based on my limited experience, it's been positive. - Sat Nov 14 2009, 18:38
