It was not mentioned on the disclosure form. In this case, is it a good idea to go back to the seller and negotiate on the price? My real estate agent seems to be convincing me that warranty should solve the problem but I have a feeling that she is not giving me right advice this time :( - Wed Jun 4 2008, 12:38
Thanks for all the answers. My specific situation is that there is a water heater which is expected to work for 12-15 years and is already past 28 years but in working condition. Does it make sense to take out a warranty on something that you know has a very high probability of failing? - Wed Jun 4 2008, 11:36
My first realtor was not up-to-date on the market conditions in the town I was looking and the property that I am contemplating to buy, I havent seen it with her as of now. I may see the property and bid on it with my new realtor though. BTW, is the information on public records, deed, etc. available online? If so, where? - Mon Jun 2 2008, 20:17
