I'll be honest, a good agent is hard to find. However, I can highly recommend Sean Giorgianni for any sale that you want to tackle. He is patient, honest, and exceptionally knowledgable and he won't try to "sell" you!! Ask a question, and he will provide you with an answer, no problem. I have been VERY happy with his service and knowledge.
I have seen the rest, and he really is the best (corny, I know, but very true). If you are interested in buying in Riverside, Sean is truly your man.
If you want more info, or want to verify my recommendation, please feel free to contact me.
I currently live in Moreno Valley, and have lived in the Riverside/Moreno Valley area for about 30 years now.
All cities have their good areas and their bad areas. In Moreno Valley (or MoVal as it is called locally) there has been a real change over the last couple of years due to the economy. There is currently a lot of road construction going on in the area, but that is due to be completed soon. The infrastructure of the city is good, the people are nice, and the crime rate is probably no better or worse than your average city. You do, however, have to pay attention to the area where you choose to live. Fortunately, it's pretty obvious based on the appearance of the neighborhood. Moreno Valley has only been incorporated for 20 years or so, but it was around as several smaller communities so many of the neighborhoods are older (and the houses much less expensive). Just use your gut when perusing the neighborhoods.
Riverside, which is about 15 miles west, is a nice place to live, though more expensive than Moreno Valley. There are a lot of other cities in the area, so you might spend time (if you have it) driving around the various areas to see what grabs you.
I'll be honest, with traffic the way that it is, you are best to move as close to your work source as you can. Driving from Moreno Valley to Riverside during morning or afternoon rush hour can take up to 45 minutes. You will always want to factor driving time in to all of your endeavours as it varies wildly.
On a personal note: I love this area. It is home to me, but you have to find your own home. Do your homework and you will come out all right. - Wed Jun 4 2008, 09:21
