Thank you both, Teri and Myke, for clarifying the difference between fair market value and list price. I do not have a buyers agent yet. moving to madison area....is there a preferred elementary school in the area?

For public schools look into the west side, for private schools look into edgewood. In general, avoid the south of Madison (near beltline, allied drive, badger road). The East is the older side of town and has a more hippy feel, but I have heard poorly about the east high school from parents. The west has more of a suburbia culture. I enjoy living in the Vilas/Monroe St neighborhoods. - Thu May 15 2008, 13:53
