Mark, NO I didnt have an agent.......
Joetta, we did have a preoccupany agreement, the check was certified so I have my receipt from the bank and when she said she was going to sue me I went to the bank and got copies of it after she has cashed it.I am in Maryland. I spoke to an attorney this evening on my way home from work and he said the same thing my lawyer told me, put it all in writing and only accept her response in writing. So , I am going to give that a try and then see where it leads. I am having doubts that she is actually going to hire a lawyer, I think she said that to scare me but I am going to cover my A@$ anyway. Thanks for all of your replys, this site is very helpful, wish I wouldve found it before we were in the nighmare situation. - Wed Jul 9 2008, 16:22
I ran out of room up top. We have given her $1450.00 deposit on the pre occupancy, i called her last week to let her know that due to the fact that she hasnt fixed anything that we would not be moving in, I also let her know that the contract to me was null and void and asked her to return my deposit. Now she is saying that she is going to contact a lawyer to sue me. WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO? HOW DO I GET MYSELF OUT? Am I the one that is the wrong here? THANKS TO EVERYONE IN ADANCE!!!!!!! - Wed Jul 9 2008, 13:11
