Best cities in Virginia for families

trying to sell answered:
Welcome yo the area! I'm sure you will receive a lot of good advise from the realtors so I will throw in my 2 cents. I have lived in Stafford County for 20+ years, raised 3 children here & can honestly say that I would not change 1 day of that 20+ years. While living here I have worked in Rockville Md, Northern Va & in DC. Over the years the commute has improved dramatically, with the VRE, van pools, & slugs you no longer have to sacrifice precious time with your family in order to afford a great home (not just a house) in a great place to raise a family. The schools, communities, & recreational activities are wonderful & you will get much more home for your money than in the No Va area. Now for the truly shameful pitch, our home is currently for sale (the listing is here on Trulia .... 6 Regal Court, Stafford, Va. 22554), we live on a great cul-de-sac where everyone comes out after dinner, the kids play & the parents tell the tales of their days. Even if ours is not your cup of tea there are still great deals in the area & I think you will find Stafford to be a warm & welcoming place for all. Best of luck in your search....... - Fri Sep 12 2008, 16:49
