Renovated the kitchen, granite countertops, all new top of the line appliances, upgraded all lighting fixtures, doorknobs etc. Upgraded cook top to natural gas, refinished deck/re-stained and new landscaping. They are all excellent schools. Westhill is the smallest class C, West Genny is an A, as is JD, and FM. They are all have excellent academics and extracurricular activities for the kids. And most notably their school taxes are all very, very close. Real estate in these school districts are most sought after. - Mon May 12 2008, 11:42
I've been looking at Valrico and Lithia. I have a young family and although the houses look great what are the pros and cons about the schools, the commute to tampa general, homeowners insurance (flood/hurricane etc.), taxes, CDD? Is this area a good fit given the circumstances? Any potential problems with the area, overgrowth, traffic etc. Thanks.

Lots of good info I appreciate it. Is it standard for many areas to have Community Development Taxes and if so is it assessed per property tax assessment or is it a straight tax? Thank you everyone for your help.
