You get to pay you federal, PA and some NY taxes to cover the extra you would owe if you where working in NY. The PA taxes count toward what you would owe if you where working in NY. You will also get to file 3 returns. NY will also want to tax you on everything you bought out of state that they tax in state. I would recommend getting the specifics from a tax preparer familiar with doing multi-state returns. - Wed Oct 7 2009, 09:41
