I have heard that Robson has developed a lackluster reputation but I cannot personally comment. KB homes recently has dealt with many litigation issues due to their lack of quality as well. - Sat Jul 18 2009, 20:13

Financing is the primary issue regarding lenders and institutions. Some of these projects may never materialize at all or will not materialize for an extended period of time, depending on whether we begin to see an easing of lender restrictions and some real economic growth and not false "greenshoots". The truth is that we are anticipating many more job losses and increases in unemployment and corresponding defaults and foreclosures with no end in sight. Until we see these numbers stemmed not by regulatory or artificial means, but by real supply and demand, we will continue to see major slowdowns and outright halts in building projects and developments. It will all be very interesting to see where we are 6 months down the road. - Sat Jul 18 2009, 20:07

Home ownership should absolutely be part of the American Dream. However, it is still important to note that things will not get better anytime soon and if you are purchasing now, hold on for the long term (7-10 years). This will be the most challenging time in American history and maybe the most unprecedented time in world history. So it would be wise to prepare now, but there definitely is light at the end of the tunnel. Good luck! - Thu Jul 2 2009, 18:53
