Yes there is quicker way and more effective. Find a lender and loan officer who work with USDA loans. The process of comunicating with USDA will drag out to the point of acute frustration.
Finding lenders who are practiced and set up with USDA is not an easy task. Many of the loan officers will say they have the experience but do not. Many will try to discourage you. USDA is a fantastic loan so stay on it.

Also, after you have gatherd your info, there are loan officers in you area offering their services on Trulia. Be sure the lender you choose is in your area.

This is a GREAT area to raise your kids, I lived here for almost 6 years with my two....it's a small neighborhood with the houses nicely spaced apart, and everyone is very family-oriented and looks out for one another. Nobody bothers you and it's super quiet. It's dark at night and has the most fabulous star-studded sky you could eve imagine, and beautiful sunsets. Back in the country/farm area, so not close to any main roads or highways as far as noise goes. I have never heard of a crime in this area.... more
