I can't comment on that specific property, or even your area generally. However, even in a strong market you probably shouldn't be considering buying a place if you're going to be selling in 2-3 years. In today's market, that would usually be a very bad move. Now, I'll defer to any Texas agent who swears that the market is so strong that you'll almost certainly come out ahead in 2 years. But I'd be surprised if you get that advice.
If you buy, figure on having to hang onto it for 4-5 years at least until you can sell and at least break even.... more
