These benefits tend to be most pronounced in resort-style casinos that offer relatively high-paying jobs, as compared to so-called convenience gambling, which mainly caters to local clientele.
New casinos often lead to a reduction in welfare dependency because the proliferation of better paying jobs reduces the need for government benefits among some sectors of the population.
