I assume this is a bank owned property. The listing Realtor is responsible for pricing the property, noting condition, and presenting offers to the asset manager. The presumption is the home has been priced with the condition of the home in mind.
If the property has been listed for 30 days, chances are they will reduce maybe 10 percent unless you can present a compelling case to the listing agent as to why the property isn't worth it. But chances are the listing agent believes they have properly priced the property with condition in mind.... more

If a new owner purchasers the property and offers it for rent, it could happen. However, it is unlikely. Time factors would be against you. If the home is in process of foreclosure or sheriff's sale, you should do everything possible to redeem your loan or renegotiate. If you already have the older kind of parquet that is made up of pieces of hardwood flooring and placed in a pattern individually, that should be no problem. However, if it is some sort of laminant, it might not be as good because you can't sand and refinish a laminant floor like you can the older hardwood floors.
If you are thinking of replacing a floor and putting in parquet, just make sure it matches the decor of the rest of the home. Sometimes newer colors and textures look a bit out of place in an older home. Best to go with the flow when you can.... more
Living rooms are out! Most people are using their "sitting room/living rooms" as home offices/library and installing glass french doors.
