The answer would be conditional to the content of your lease. I presume you are month to month with no lease. Review the documentation you received when you moved in to determine what the grace period if any is. Old Torrance doesn't have rent control in place. If after reviewing your documents you are still in the dark or want to dispute the landlord's actions you should consult with an attorney.
Wishing you luck.
Good morning Vsanchinsko,
Plaza Del Amo is a pass through type street. It is generally not too busy between Crenshaw Blvd. and Madrona. This section is comprised of townhouse/condominium complexes. Summerwind is one these complexes. Rentals are usually available when individual owners choose to rent their unit out. Summerwind does have a larger percentage of rentals within the complex than the other complexes though due to how it was originally set up when built.
Feel free to write me direct if you need any additional assistance.
To the best of my knowledge there is not a rental office in this Retirement Community. These are Condos that are owned by someone and could be for rent. I checked the Multiple Listing Service and there in fact are some available in the community for rent. If you would like to contact me I would be more than happy to assist you in finding out if any of the available rental units would satisfy your needs. My email is email@example.com or you can call me toll free at 877-645-4110.... more
Yes you can. Explain up front with the landlord or leasing agent your situation. Fill out any tenant credit application with the detail also. You will find another home their are many to choose from.
All the best,
If you have a one-year lease, it must be honored by the purchaser of the home. The down side is that the house will be shown to prospective buyers and you'll have to cooperate within reason in the process. You'll have some say about how often, when, etc., but you'll have to let people in at some point and can't be unreasonable about your objections. You'll have to decide if the inconvenience is worth it or not.
You may get lucky, and the house will be bought by an investor who would be happy to have you stay well beyond the one-year lease. Or, the buyer might want to move in. But you will definitely have a year to deal with this. Good luck!... more
In a sale, you must disclose if there was a death on the property within the past three years OR if a buyer asks if anyone died on the property at any time, you are obligated to disclose. I would treat the law the same for rentals. The best rule of thumb whether a sale or a rental is - if in doubt as to what to do - then DISCLOSE!... more
