Sherwood Forest is in transition, dont think its for the good. Its an older neighborhood, many owners took care of their properties, many did not.. the biggest problem ive seen is that too many people purchased homes that maxed out their income and they have no way to keep the properties up. Places close to LSU that would be similar I would say Southdowns area. I could email you some homes around there. Most homes are walking distance to shopping, restaurants and bars.
Downtown BR also has a few homes and condos for sale or lease that might interest you.
