You need to request a 203k renovation loan from your lender. It allows you to borrow renovation costs along with the home loan and roll it into one payment.

Hi, It depends on the type of loan you have. The FHA for instance, has a strict process for their loans. There is a 30-90 review period to determine a valid hardship and try a modification first. If you are approved to do a shortsale you will receive an "approval to participate" letter. this will put the foreclosure process on hold. If you are having any trouble paying your mortgage or think you will soon, it's best to contact your lien holder directly. Do it sooner then later. I hope this helps!

Hi depending on the municipality they may consider the driveway pre-existing and won't be an issue. As for the attic, it may be an issue depending on the lender. When they receive the title report and municipality permit search and see a discrepancy that's what raises flags. You have to remember the bank is investing in the home and it's value so they are very careful with this stuff. Your best bet is to speak with a few mortgage professionals...I recommend Christian Babcock from Mortgage Master 914 447 9691.
