In these instances, we advise that you use the ‘Send to a Friend’ functionality. This will send an email to the person you think could answer the question. Then, it is up to them to answer or not. In general, answers that add value, are not considered spam. I understand that some times answering a question by just referring a person might seem as an attempt to ‘game’ the system, but often it is not. In the case of a proven fraudulent use, we’ll take actions to preserve the integrity of the product and the community and as always do our best to provide the best experience. We have been attacked by spammers recently, and we are working tirelessly to minimize their impact on the community. Unfortunately, a lot of these posts are formatted in a way that manage to bypass the spam filters. Therefore, we added some additional measures to our system over the last few weeks and we already see a decrease in number of spam posts. We will keep adding more measures to minimize spam as much as possible.
