The traffic from North Charleston and Summerville to downtown is rough during the morning and afternoon rush hours. Also, I saw that you mentioned you would be a first time home buyer. As long as you buy before July of 2009 you would be eligable for the tax credit that is part of the Housing Act of 2008. This is actually a great time to do so because of the plans to re-develop Marion square. This project is supposed to revitalize the eastside part of the city making property values in that area increase. We have beaches and great schools. I actually grew up here and did dance class and horseback riding. My little sister did ice skating and gymnastics, so there are definately plenty of options .
