I agree with others that your field is an important component to helping you. Salem, OR is that state capital so most of the government jobs are based out of there. There are several univerisites to choose from. Salem has T-mobile and Wachovia for customer service jobs...

You've got a variety of agents representing different parts of Oregon to give you some input. You can also go to for Salem jobs, for the government jobs, is the Oregonian's website as well. I don't know Eugene's but maybe one of the Eugene folks could chime in for that.

The question is a little open ended. What do you do for a living?

The Portland metro area has the greatest number of jobs, but companies looking for specialized skills are also located in Bend, Salem, Eugene, Hood River, Medford. If you're in a technology field, you may likely be looking for work in Beaverton or Hillsboro.

Eugene and North. Linn/Benton county has the lowest employment, but it depends entirely on what sector you are employed in........which is what? It helps to give us Trulia participants more information such as what field of work you prefer....which could result in coastal or urban community.

What are your qualifications?
