I visited Bridgeport at Eden Shores in Hayward over the weekend.
The house I liked is priced like this:
4 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms
1,831-1,837 Sq. Ft.
I understand that there has been a recent reduction in price in the community. I still have 2 questions:
1) Given the Buyers market we live nowadays, how much you think can be negotiated under that price?
2) Given that there are no amenities in the community (like swimming pool, parks, or any common spaces), is it a good buy?

I have sold some homes in Eden Shores before the Bridgeport homes were built.
Anyway, to answer your question, I really think Bridgeport sales office people sound very motivated and you can give them an offer less than asking. They have 3 Daffodil plans available at this time. I would be happy to negotiate a better price for you.
To answer your 2nd question:
I know a few homeowners in Eden Shores and I spoke to them about Bridgeport. They told me that this model was selling for around $700 K in November 2007. It really seems to have come down a lot in price and it certainly seems like a great buy.
They do have a picnic area and a play gound that is available to you. If you have a friend in Eden Shores, you can probably use their pool with them.
