You're right it doesn't show DOM on the public access site. Have your realtor set you up with the client portal function in the MLS.
It will send you any changes to properties in the areas and housing type specified. It allows you to organize properties and will keep you up on what is coming and going in the market.

Thanks guys. I do indeed have a realtor, but I like to research a ton - not just in my area and price range - in order to get a feel for the market as a whole over time, and I'd rather not ask him for the DOM for multiple listings every week if I can get them off the web instead! I've been using sfarmls and it's great but it doesn't appear to have that particular info on the public interface.

Are you still having trouble getting a Realtor to take you seriously? As you search for your bargin in the Mission, it would help if you hooked up with an agent to work with.
We've had fun with your questions and all but I'm afraid bargins are pasing you by. Sally has said the sfarmls.com which will give you access to everything on the MLS that is active. If you choose a Realtor you could get set up with a client portal and then you'd be able to track trends etc.
In the question about being taken seriously, Peter Brunton I think posted that he was working with clients in that range. He's a good agent give him a call.

Check out redfin.com - they list days on market, comparable sales in the neighborhood, it's the best/most comprehensive website I've used.

Try http://www.sfarmls.com as well as going to MLS via my website http://www.sallyrosenman.com. Days on market are noted as DOM right on the listings. Realtor.com and any other site which takes its information directly from the MLS will have it as it as well. Of course, how can I not end with, your realtor could tell you as well.

Good luck!
Sally
