Lisa, Home Buyer in North Dakota

I would like information on the new port richey area. I am relocating there in a month.

Since I have never been to Florida, I'm a little nervous! Any information on neighborhoods, schools, crime, activities, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Lisa,

My wife and I have lived in New Port Richey now for almost 9 years. I am a native of Clearwater (about 20 minutes South of New Port Richey). We love the smaller town feel of New Port Richey and do not miss the congestion of Pinellas County (Clearwater, St. Pete, Tarpon Springs, etc).

Contact me if you have any specific questions on schools. I have two sons (age 9 and 11) and they both go to Richey Elementry. My wife and I have been very happy with their curriculum, staff, and student attention. My 11 year old is headed to Gulf Middle next year (they get big so fast!) so far we are happy with what we have heard in the sudent orientation events and from what other parents are telling us.

I have several videos about New Port Richey and nearby parks and beaches on my website and YouTube channel. My YouTube channel is http://www.youtube.com/belloise the other site is listed below.

Thanks and good luck!

Hi, I didn't know if you had found a place to call home so I thought I would reply to your question. We currently have a brand new luxury condo for rent in New Port Richy and would love to discuss the terms with you. Just a few cool things about the unit are: Gulf view, Corner unit w/ 2 Master Suites, 2 full Baths, 3 Balconies, Heated Pool, Fitness Center, Spa, Sauna, Private Beach, Granite Counter Tops (I picked out!) in Kitchen and Bathrooms, Crown Molding, Walk-in-Closets, Concierge, Business/Conference Center, and I think the best part is MONTHLY Cleaning Service INCLUDED!!!!

Lisa, make it easy on yourself, go to my website, and do either a MLS search, which will give you everything currently on the market that is of interest to you, or you can do a New Construction search, which will give you most everything that all the builders have to sell.

Hello Lisa.. New Port Richey has so many different types and styles of neighborhoods and many different price ranges..., You need to pick a local Realtor that will ask you all the right questions to zero in on what you are looking for and the things that are most important to you. Waterfront? Pool? Large Lot? Condo? Mobile? Family area? Retirement area? Price Range? etc, etc. This is an excellent time tobuy, there are a lot of "bargains" out there.. Get with a Realtor right now, before the snow starts flying again in North Dakota.. Regards.... Joe Zajkowski - Future Home Realty.

Lisa, I live in New Port Richey in the Gulf Harbors community. Depending on what you are looking for, Gulf Harbors is a great waterfront community west of hwy 19 with most homes directly on the canals leading to the gulf of mexico and several islands and sandbars. The homes vary greatly in size and price. Overall, its a nice area, fairly quiet, but close enough to major cities and activities. We have a quaint downtown area on the water. I have two teenagers who attend school here and have not had any issues. Its always a good idea to check out the areas you are attracted to at various times. Since individuals have different desires and needs as well as tolerence to traffic, proximity to neighbors. Only you can decide what area is best.

Lisa, New Port Richey is an older community in what is known as West Pasco County. The major thoroughfare through town is HWY 19 of which every branches off of. It is not a Beach community but is not far from pretty touristy areas of Clearwater Florida, Tarpon Springs. I am 15 miles to the East of New Port Richey, and currently listing a property. East Pasco is more of a suburb community to Tampa while New Port Richey is a suburb to Pinellas County Municipalities. If you care to look at my property you can go to this link...http://landolakesdeal.vflyer.com/1/index.html
