Hi Amber - Ditto here too. Looking to move in from out of state but since realtors cannot tell you the answer to crime questions due to fair housing regulations (I used to be a Realtor, GRI) you have options. You can hit up the crime stat reports like city-data.com or you can call the local police department. But even better?? Call the post office. The delivery folks can tell you the real low down. Hope this helps!! I am looking too...and I answered this because living out of state does not grant me the privilege of driving around the neighborhoods on nights and weekends like some are suggesting.... Good luck~ :)

As a single female myself, I always encourage other females to take extra precautions when living alone. Have a security system. Take a class in self-defense. Drive around the place that you want to live at night and on weekends. Be prepared! That interactive map that someone else suggested is a great thing to look at as well!

Your instincts appear to be right on.....Be sure and check out the crime sites listed below, however you can practically walk to TJMax, Kroger, and great local shopping. Be sure a quiz the PAST president of the condo association about the relative health of the association. The present president may have turf to protect, and past one is so over it they cant stand it...they'll probably shoot you straight.
Good luck.
