especially love the Middleton Hills area. I have been watching the market for a while, and there doesn't seem to be many new listings lately. I am moving from California where the market is crazy - is the inactivity in Middleton a sign of caution or stability?

You are going to get numerous responses to your question from a bunch of real estate agents who will be falling all over themselves to offer to help you find a house... me included... but how will you know which one will be looking out for your best interests and truly help you accomplish your real estate objectives here in Indiana? Easy... Interview them! Set up a dialog with them via email (or telephone) and ask them serious questions about why you should be doing business with them.

Are you working with a real estate agent in California? If not, I would be happy to put you into the Coldwell Banker Relocation & Referral Program... which pretty much guarantees that you will end up working with one of the best agents in the Middleton market.

If you would like more information about this very helpful and convenient program, please call or email me to discuss your move and get you set up in the program.

Katie,

The population in Indiana is much more stable than CA or FL where I used to live. In FL we had people moving in and out of the state all the time, much like CA. In Indiana, I know many people who have lived here all their lives. Several of my relatives have lived in the same house for over 40 years or more. We do not have the wild upswings in appreciation or depreciation. That said, your dollars here will buy you a boatload more house than in CA, so its a good thing for you, but remember it will not appreciate as fast either when it comes time to sell.
Good luck on your house search!
