PS.
Brian is absolutely right get your school reports. Schools drive the property value!

Wish you were relocating to Charlotte, NC! But... a native of Millburn, I am familiar with Bloomfield and Lyndhurst and here are the township links... You will be happy in either! However, personally I would purchase the multi unit in this market, it is a good investment (but Haggle, its your market)! College town, you can always rent it. If you do not relish becoming a landlord then the single family fixer upper is great too... you can always fix it, live there a bit and later sell it for a nice profit - it is so close to the city via rte 3! Good Luck! http://www.lyndhurstnj.org/ http://www.bloomfieldtwpnj.com/

Check school reports- visit the local super markets, some of the local stores and walk around. And talk to a Realtor to get some market stats -- if one area offers more for the money ask why... Also some sites offer town stats. Good luck!! I personally like Lyndhurst.
