Oshun Jones, Other/Just Looking in 75024

Where can I get neighborhood information for Nrth Dallas, Downtown, area?

Asked by Oshun Jones, 75024 Fri May 8, 2009

I am looking to purchase in the area but am not familiar with the area at all. Would like some resources that give a summary of the neighborhoods. For example, I've heard of Preston Hallow, Lake Highlands. Obviously, I am not able to afford those areas where Pres. Bush lives but am looking for information on the different areas.

Oshun,

Congrats on your decision to buy! How are you planning to finance your home? Do you need to live with a close proximity to any family, to your work, or stay within a certain part of Dallas? North Dallas homes are available for purchase on average for $185,000. Is that about your price range? To be able to tell you about the area's your wanting to talk about, it'd help to know more about ya. Email me your particulars and I will send you homes customized to the neighborhoods, city, price, age, size and area that match your criteria.

If you are thinking about buying or renting in the Dallas area you would be well served to find Realtor that fits your personality. Interview a few to find out how long they have been in business, how many homes they sell in the areas you are interested in, and their knowlege of Dallas. Being a Dallas native there is not much I do not know about the city. I would welcome the opportunity to help you in your home search.

You can also go to my website, listed below, to find out about specific areas in Dallas.

Oshun, You may like to check this site as the information is from public records (For housing trend/school info) and has neighborhood info also. You can look at neighborhoods or zip codes.
http://www.bhgrealestate.com/Views/Look/Default.aspx

You might also like to look at rental trends to see where people are choosing to live, pay, ect..
http://www.zilpy.com/US/Texas/Dallas_County/Dallas/

I would also make use of local forums to see what people from different neighborhoods have to say....

There are others if you look..

Hello. I have a fantasitic site that offers alot of information on Dallas neighborhoods. If you'd like it please contact me. I do not think we can post sites here if they promote a business, and since I specialize in this sort of thing I am going to be cautious and not post it here. If you'd like it, please let me know and I can send the link to you.
