Wow, alot of used house sales people with time on their hands to troll the message boards for leads... But it's a great time to buy (because apparently no one else is). But I digress...Thank you all for your time. Do try not to spill the Ramen broth on your keyboards.

Todd, go to http://clerk.ucnj.org/UCPA/DocIndex for Union County land records - you can search by party name (among others). You can also go here (http://www.njactb.org/) to search tax records by location, which will lead you to party names, and book & page numbers of recorded documents.

If you were planning to pay a used house sales dood(ette) $24,000 (est. 6% of $400,000) for that information, just send me $24 and we'll call it even.

County Clerks office is the most reliable source, which is where any website would get the data from, if they get it from the MLS, the time frame of availability will be strictly limited dependant on how long the mls keeps older data on their servers; most only keep a few years back.

In Oregon you can just go down to any title company, give them the address of the property, and tell them you want to oreder a complete package on the property. It only costs a few bucks, if they charge at all, and you will get tons of info on the property.

Your realtor can pull old listings, or if you can you can go into the city tax base and see for yourself what the last sale recorded was, in Missouri this is public record

have yor realtor pull up the tax records, in Missouri its public record, if your using a realtor the realtor will be able to check old sale records for you.

Hi Todd,
If a home was listed in the MLS, your agent can very easily pull up the closed sales price for you. Otherwise, the tax office in the community of interest or the county seat would have the closed price information as well. Best of Luck to you. Lucy
