Also typos happen periodically. I have seen home listed for 39,900 only to have agent change it to 399,000 the next day. Too funny. And than those people are selling the most expansive assets for most of us.
I cannot think of a reason for an agent to give different prices. They would have a writen contract that has a price on it. So there should be no question about price.
The only thing I can think is that the agent received more activity than expected and may suggest to the seller to raise the price. (that almost never happens in this market)
Did you tell him/her that you had an agent? Usually agents share their commission with a buyer's agent.
I am looking for reasons... It should still be the same price. If this seems like the reason, you may have grounds for talking to the board.
