This is the best profession, if you can be focused and have about 6 months reserve funds available. Schooling is not too challenging, but it's the hands-on experience that is fun and where you learn. I would hook up with Vicki Wolfe at Prudential 717-393-0100, sign up with Prudential and they will provide the best training on the market. Give Vicki my name, she'll treat you right! Meeting new people and every deal is different. It kept my interest for 15 yrs. You can live your life, you have to add apts to your calendar for family and friends. You must make calls all the time. This market is challenging for starting up, but I thnk it is starting to get better already. Good News!
The negative is that sometimes there may be a clash when you want to be at an event with your family and a client needs you at the same time. You have to learn to set the rules, have a good person who can cover for you when you go on vacation etc and be prepared to work long hours , though you get to say you are not available when you have something else to do.You need to be with positive people and always keep in touch with your sphere of influence because that is where you will get your business from. You do not get a paycheck if you are an independent contractor and have to learn to budget . Good luck.
