Prices vary drastically as you get closer to the school... below are some examples.

Here is a great one in a pretty good price range/ literally around the corner from the school:

Here is one on the other side of Cedar street (towards newton):

Just to give you an idea, here are a few places on the market in the high(er) price range located in the neighborhood close to the school :

http://www.territoryre.com/SF_Property.php?LIST_NO=70741147

The school is sord-of sandwiched between a couple major roads: rte 16, 9, 128 and 95 so crossing these streets may be a source of concern for kids.

The further out you go the more options in the lower price range, for instance check out these:

Click the maps and you can see the proximity of the homes to Cedar St. where the school is located.

Good luck!

Specifically, the Schofield School district is comprised of several neighborhoods. Those that are west of the school tend to be more expensive. That which is closest (within walking distance without crossing a major street) to the school is 'Poets Corner' aka Longfellow Estates (most of the streets are named after English poets). It was built up primarily in the 1930's and is really a lovely neighborhood, with distinctive homes and 15,000 square foot lots. Other neighborhoods are also districted into Schofield such as Wellesley Farms - generally 20,000 square foot lots, also 1930's construction and more expensive as a result of more land. Wellesley has a total of 7 different elementary schools, 1 middle school, and 1 high school. Feel free to call or write for greater detail.
