I live in Rocklin and I absolutely love it... Lincoln is also a nice area, I'm not to fond of Citrus Heights for "living purposes" myself. Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, Granite Bay (expensive), are all in Placer County which is really great. Rocklin may be a little pricier than Roseville and Lincoln should be a little less expensive than Roseville. Rocklin is smaller city, whereas Roseville has more business which is why I live here. They are so close, it's sometimes hard to tell them apart in the Galleria area of Roseville. You cant go wrong either way.

As for where to look, I'm not too sure of where in Roseville but anything "newer" you will be just fine. When I first moved here I lived at an apartment complex off of Sunset in "Old Rocklin" (meaning like 15 yrs or older LOL) and it was really nice and under 1,000 a month. It was in a little neighborhood of of the main Sunset Blvd.

The newest apartment communities are on Blue Oaks Boulevard between Hiway 65 and Sunset Blvd. in Rocklin, On Gibson Drive in Roseville next to the Westfield Galleria Shopping Mall, and along Pleasant Grove Boulevard in Roseville.

You will have a very good choice of 2 bedroom apartments in that price range. 2B's range from $750 to about $1200.

There is a huge apartment catalogue available at most supermarkets in town called "For Rent" I have included a link to their online version. Welcome to Placer County !

Hi Kailas, Roseville, CA is a very nice suburb of the Sacramento area. Most of Roseville is actually really nice, not a lot of crime there. You can probably rent a decent condo or apartment for 1,000/month in West Roseville which is a very family friendly neighborhood. The East part of Roseville is the business district and is more pricey. The older part of Roseville has a bit more crime than the rest of the area, but is much more affordable. I suggest going to CraigsList.com for individuals/management companies listings or Rent.com for apartments.

Kallas, could you specify whether you are planning to move to Roseville, North Carolina or to Roseville California or Roseville, Minnesota. ? There are several Roseville, California agents who will be happy to give you information about my town...However, your profile says you are in Charlotte. Could you specify which state you want to move to?

I would also recommend looking on craigslist. I always advertise rentals only on craigslist.

Thanks a lot Darren. If you know, Could you suggest a few names in west Roseville to look at? What about places like Citrus heights, Rocklin etc? How are those areas like? I could see they are a tad cheaper than Roseville
