Where in Inland Empire are good locations for public education (Specifically Special Education)?

Asked by Jin, Katy, TX Thu Dec 27, 2007

We moved to Cinco Ranch in Katy, TX near Houston to escape from high housing prices. We might want to return to CA (Inland Empire) since real estate market is softening. We got lucky since Cinco Ranch (a master planned community) is one very bright spot in all of Texas with excellent school reputation. Since we bought our home w/o mortgage, we should have about $200,000. We want a small mortgage with new or newer house of over 2000 sq. ft. Any location suggestions?

If you are looking for good schooling in Riverside, your best bet is Riverside Unified School District. There are still many affordable homes in this area. Try 92508 for the best of the best public education in Riverside. I have nothing good to say about other affordable areas in the IE that have a good schooling system. :(

Riverside proper, when it comes to options for education, would be a best bet. You can find a newer home in a great neighborhood in the 350k range and up. Hemet - San Jacinto are 40 minutes south west and you will find 2000 sf+ homes for under 300k yet, your options for special education are more limited. You have many options throughout the Inland Empire and you should have no problem finding a great home at a great price.
