We are in our 50's and want to be at or near a golf course, newer ranch style homes. Any ideas?

I guess only California have those golf communities? What happened to other states?

I am in Marin (yes, California), and we have quite a few gold course communities here right in town.

As baby boomers (the 'so called' wealthiest group) are aging and retiring; and as the senior population is growing (although remember what they said, the 50's is the new 30's - your case, I am sure); ranch style homes with seniors amenities in mind are becoming very popular.

If you disclose the specific locations around the country that you might be interested in, you may get agents from other states to chime in. But of course, Marin is a GREAT place to be :-) .

Best,
Sylvia

If you dont mind heat for several months a year, you can get gorgeous brand new ranch homes on golf courses in palm desert area in CA or Scottsdale, Arizona.

Your options are limitless throughout the country. California is the home of the ranch style so, I would assume this is where you are considering? If so, if you have a preference to southern, central, or northern California, I am certain you will get some great responses to your question. Even if not looking in California, if you can provide a geographic preference, there are many here that will help you get started on a search. Good luck to you in your search.
