Does anyone have any experience with the HOA's of carolina forest with regards to pets.?

Asked by John, Myrtle Beach, SC Sun Nov 4, 2007

We are looking to relocate to the Carolina forest area and was curious if there are any size limits or restrictions on dogs in any of the communities. We are particurarly looking at some of the DR horton communities such as Woodbury and the Farm

If you find a community that you really like, I can get you the Covenants and rules and regulations! I have sold several homes in that area.

That's simple: just ask the salesperson to give you the community HOA CC&R (covenants, rules and restrictions). Generally speaking, single family home commnities are free of annoying pet restrictions. Condos typically only allow owners to own a pet, and they usually have a weight limit of 30 pds. Now, who would put poochie on a diet?

Hi John,

I am not familiar with that area of SC, but I think if you contact the Realtors listed at http://www.carolinaforesthomes.com/southgate/contact.php they can point you in the right direction. They should have HOA contact information and a copy of the deeds and restrictions for the neighborhood.

I think it is very wise of you to check into these matters before signing a contract. Good luck on your move.
