Mountains, foothills, hills, etc. I was a young married man starting life out in what was then called "Laguna HIlls", which consisted of several neighborhoods of pre-fab condos, Leisure World(retirement community)& closer to the 405 Fwy off of Moulton Pkwy were pre-fab sgl homes. The condo's were cut into hills making terraced levels, while Leisure world, now known as Laguna Woods, was mostly flat. The Leisure world golf course was gently rolling hills. Now so much has changed with such an influx of senior 'well to do-ers' that there are numerous leisure world communities separated by the main thoroughfares with identities known by their "gate #. I have a friend living there & visit her often. I also play a little 'remembering the past' by driving through my old neighborhood that I helped stablize - first VP of the homeowner's assoc. after the selling mgmt. released it to the homeowners & we were left to deal with some rather unusual predicaments - Edison wanted to continue renting their street lights to us - freshly planted hillsides with shallow rooting iceplant were threatened with monsoon-like rains & US ARMY CORP OF ENGINEERS HAD TO DICTATE TO US HOW TO SAND BAG THE HILLS-WITH BAGS DONATED FROM LOCAL FIRE DEPTS. & Org. Cty. Dept. of emergency Services. So, guess Laguna Woods DOES have rolling hills in & around it.

Hi Audrey,
While there are flat areas of Laguna Woods, in most areas of Laguna Woods Village there are views of the hills your inquiring about called the "Saddleback Mountains". Often the landscape scene below the saddleback mountains are of tree-lined quiet neighborhoods and golf courses if your within the gates of Laguna Woods. If you have any more questions, or specific concerns with regard to the community, the Hickman Group is available to assist you.

Thank you

Hello Audrey,
Laguna Woods Village has both flat areas and gentle rolling hills. It is located in the Saddleback Valley and some locations in the city offer sommanding views of the valley and Saddleback Mountain beyond. Most of the hills are walkable and all can be accomodated with a golf cart.

I've given a web reference to a post that I did recently about the golfing in Laguna Woods. I think it will give you some perspective of the gentle rolling hills and mountain vistas.

If you'd like more photos, just contact me through the golf course post. There's a link there that says "send email".

Yes, Laguna Woods and other So. Orange County communities are surrounded by many hills and mountians in the distance. It's a very beautiful place to live in.

There are several places near that area, there are trails that start in Aliso Viejo that go through the canyon and lead you to the ocean. There are biking and hiking trails also located near Laguna Woods. Near by is El Moro Canyon in Laguna Beach. Saddle Back is near by. All these locations are located just outside of the Laguna Woods area but depending on where you are in Laguna Woods you may have views of the surrounding hills/mountains.

Hello Audrey,
I live in Laguna Hills and yes, we can see the Saddleback mountains. I know of a really good agent named Andrew, and he helped me find a house off of Linda Vista In Laguna Hills. If you have any more questions I believe his email is andrew.h3realty@hotmail.com

Yes Audrey, I live in Laguna Hills (right next to Laguna Woods) and the Saddleback Mountains are to the east of us. I see them when I drive my daughter to school. Where do you live? Are you thinking about re-locating here?
