Briargrove Park seems like a nice area, but will home values suffer because it is south of the Bayou?

Briargrove Park values have been stable and increased slowly throughout the years. Some homes are extensively remodeled and brought up to date by now, because their owners want to continue to live in such a convenient location. In 1997 the median price/sq.ft. was $87.96 and last year it was $155.40. There hasn't been a significant drop in price since the subdivision was built in the late 60's. The proximity to the Beltway, Westpark Toll Way and other major freeways, makes it easy for these residents to move around Houston. The only significance to the bayou is that it is the border between Houston Independent School District and Spring Branch Independent School District. But that has been the case for a long time. I'd be happy to help you find a great home in this area.

Briargrove park values do not seem to be suffering. 102 homes were sold in there in 2007 at an average sq ft price of $143.00. In 2008, 97 homes were sold in there at an average sq ft price of $148.00.
