Does anyone know if Norco, CA still offers a first time homeowner grants?

I am a first time home buyer and am wondering if the downturn in the real estate market has dried up all the funds for first time homebuyers?

Jill, the other agent is right on. Also, if Riverside is of interest to you, then you may try:

Riverside CalHome Mortgage Assistance Program (MAP) $30,000 (909) 341-6511

Let us know if we can assist you further as we specialize in the Riverside County area and we are conveniently located on the border of Norco/Corona.

Try calling the Norco First Time Homebuyer Program (FTHB) at (909) 270-5645.

The state of California does not currently offer first time home buyer grants. They do, however, offer low-interest loans to first time home buyers who meet certain income limits. To find out more, visit the California Housing Finance Agency website at http://www.calhfa.ca.gov/homebuyer/programs/chdap.htm. Also visit HUD’s Homeownership Assistance website at http://www.hud.gov/local/ca/homeownership/buyingprgms.cfm for available first time homebuyer programs.
