I am not familiar with this property personally, however a possible reason for the confusion is that usually the SOLD date is the date when the closing was held. However, due to the number of foreclosures in many areas, the deed is not always filed in a timely manner, so that public records do not reflect that sale. I would think that 4 months would be plenty of time, but I have heard previously of 8 month lapses in my county of Lucas. I don't know about the Cinci area, though.
Of course, human error is always a feasible reason, too. I would suggest contacting whichever realtor or realtors were involved in the transaction and ask them for clarification.
