Hi Patty,

Check out the link in the reference to see McLovin's answer to Lynn 911's answer, It seems Lynn refuses to answer anybody's questions, lmao!

As an actuall answer to your question, I would say that both have historically maintined their values and appreciated at a comprable rate. It just depends on which house feels like home!

Happy Hunting!

They both are really great areas. It really comes down to your preference. You are going to be there for a long time and as Realtors we can predict the future. I wish we could. Since you are going to live there longer than a few month you may want to see which one you like the best.
If you are buying new hone from a builder check out my site.

every transaction is different -- run the numbers then evaluate your lifestyle/needs (not wants) and how each area meets those needs -- the best decision will show itself

Your question is very valid however as realtor per the professional code of ethics we can't make a comment what is the better investment for those 2 areas.

You may want to request a realtor to provide you approx. past 3 year history of all the homes that have sold should provide you some indication of the success for the 2 years.
