What you might consider doing to manage the responses is to first post your email so the Realtors interested in helping you can respond and then delete the individual post that has your email (or the entire question) once you have enough candidate Realtors' responses.
Just a few clarifying questions:
1) Have you already been Pre-Approved? Is this how your budget was developed?
2) What do you want to accomplish during your trip? Is this a "fact-finding" trip, or are you actually looking to put in an offer as part of this trip?
3) If you will not be buying during this trip, when is your target purchase date?

Ask the realtor if its good time to buy. If the answer is "YES", ran away. If "No", ask them the homes they bought for their clients in the last 12 months. Check the value of those homes today before you make a decision. .
Your questions are all reasonable, but writing simple answers to them will give you only a minimal amount of the information you need before hiring someone to work for and with you. It's a fair assumption that any Realtor active on Trulia is competent, so you might consider learning more about them via their Trulia Profile. This will guide you to their Blogs/Websites. By seeing how they have answered other questions you should be able to learn much more about them then could be discovered via the basic questions you ask here.
Be willing have at least a half hour conversation (telephone) with whoever looks good. In doing so you can get answers to these and the hundreds of other legitimate questions which need to be discussed before.
making a choice.
-how many transactions have you done in the last 6 months?

Here is a list of all my listings.
Here are the homes that I helped my buyers purchase in 2008.

Pearltone Dr., San Jose

-your fee? List price to sales price ratio?
Sellers pay all commissions. Buyers pay NO fees and absolutely NO transaction costs to broker.
-who do you represent? Buyer or seller or both? How many do you represent now?
I usually do not do dual agency, which occurs when you represent both buyer and seller on the same transaction.
I work with both Buyers and Sellers. Currently I am actively working with 2 sellers and 2 buyers.
-game plan in finding our dream home? How will you search for homes that fit my requirements?
My experience shows me that most home buyers shop by area. So we need to target the areas that we will focus on. Once we have targeted those areas, we monitor the market for newly listed homes which may fit your criteria and visit them. Depending on your schedule I may have to preview the homes and then bring you by the ones I think you would be interested in.
After we find a home that you are interested in submitting an offer. We review the home inspections and disclosures, access the sellers motivation and make an initial offer. During the negotiation phase we negotiate the best possible price and terms.
Once in contract we conduct our own inspections, review HOA documents and property disclosures, finalize loan details, negotiate any further details based on the inspections, and schedule all signoffs and work before close. Coordinate with the lender the sign off, accompany you to the signoff, make sure all items in the contract are fulfilled before close, order your home warranty, and help you with any details during and after the close of escrow.
-be willing to work w/our budget/requirements: 450-600K, 3 bed/2bath, prefer newer townhomes, Santa Clara/Cupertino/Sunnyvale, desirable areas, maybe borderline san jose.
Absolutely. I'm a consultant. So I will show you what your budget can get you in all of these areas. I'll be able to discuss the benefits or draw backs of all the different locations and developments, in order to help you make the right decision.

I believe all successful enterprises are service based businesses and I differentiate myself from other realtors by providing a unique level of service and expertise. Being a real estate professional you must know the market. That means knowing inventory, what properties have recently come on the market and what has recently sold. I am notified of every listing that comes on the market in Santa Clara County, when it sells, and when and if it closes and what it sold for. This keeps me in tune with the markets pulse.
I also subscribe and follow Altos Research Charts. They are an industry leader in real estate market performance research. I closely monitor the areas of my active clients to make sure they are informed of how the market is performing.

-patience, be willing to spend half a day showing us around town plus a few homes.
I entered into real estate after I bought my first home through a realtor so I understand what its like to be on the other end. I consider myself to be a consultant more than a salesperson. I am here to provide you with information about homes, the market, home remodeling & construction, background on different areas, and many other things that a good knowledgeable Realtor should know. You the homebuyer can take that information to make the best possible decision you can on buying the right home.
Also I understand that you are coming a long way for an important reason, so I can spend more than just a half a day to give you a good tour of the area and the homes and neighborhoods it has to offer.

-min 8-10 years exp, be extremely knowledgeable/detail oriented about the cities I stated, developments in the past 10 years, what’s upcoming, schools, etc. be a smart educator!
I've been licensed now for almost 5 years, March 11 to be exact. You can see my DRE profile below, I have never had any disciplinary action against me.
I am very knowledgeable of the areas and developments you have stated. I am aware of what complexes to stay away from, highway commuting times and traffic, school district and boundaries, recent developments and floor plans.
If you still feel you need an agent with over 8 years of experience, consider that most real estate agents in this area sell an average of 5-6 homes a year. In the last 5 years I have sold over 70 homes, that would be the equivalent of over 11 years of experience.
-good listener, our budget is under 600K, pls do not show us homes at 675/700k and push us to buy it. Or push a rundown home for us to fix.
I'm definitely not pushy. The first thing we will do is have some telephone conversations so that I can get to know you better. Find out what are the most important things and really try to hone in on those homes and areas that will fit you best. Once we go out and look at a few homes I should be able to get an idea of what you like and don't like.
